Print QR Codes on Guest Badges

Updated yesterday

Diobox allows you to include multi-purpose QR codes on guest badges. These QR codes help streamline event check-in, track guest activity, and enable networking by making it easier for guests to exchange contact information.

Adding a QR Code to Guest Badges

All badge production is handled through the Diobox iOS app. You can design and customize badges for your events in just a few taps, without needing a computer. Badge templates include options for adding guest QR codes and event logos.

Open the iOS app and go to Tools > Badge Printing.

Select a badge template that supports QR codes. Tap the edit icon on a badge to customize its design.

QR Codes for Contact Exchange

In addition to check-in and tracking, Diobox QR codes can be used for contact exchange. Guests can scan each other’s badges to instantly share contact details, eliminating the need for physical business cards.

Guests do not need to download any apps. Using the built-in camera on their phone, they scan the QR code on another guest’s badge, and the device will prompt them to save the contact information directly to their address book.

This feature is available only for QR codes printed on badges. QR codes generated during registration do not support contact exchange.

To enable contact exchange:

On the iOS app, select a badge template that supports QR codes.

Click the QR Code Type and select "vCard Exchange & Guest Check-In"
