Email Tracking

Track various email statuses, including opened, clicked, soft bounced, and hard bounced, to monitor your email performance and engagement.

Updated over a week ago

Diobox tracks the progress of emails after they are sent, providing detailed insights about their delivery. This includes data on whether emails were opened, clicked, or bounced. It may take a few hours for this data to be fully processed and synced.

To learn where guest email stats are tracked within the platform, refer to the article: Reporting on Email Engagement.

Here are the different types of statuses that Diobox tracks after sending an email:

Opened

Indicates that the recipient has opened the email. A high open rate suggests that the subject line and sender name effectively captured the recipient’s attention.

Clicked

Shows that the recipient opened the email and clicked on a link. A high click rate implies that the email content and call-to-action were engaging.

Unopened

The email was delivered but not opened. This may indicate that the subject line wasn’t compelling, the email went unnoticed, or it was directed to the recipient’s promotions or spam folder.

Complained

Triggered when the recipient marks the email as spam. High complaint rates can harm your sender reputation, so it’s important to remove unengaged recipients from your list.

Soft Bounced

The email wasn’t delivered due to a temporary issue, such as:

  • Full recipient inbox

  • Large email size

  • Failed DMARC authentication

  • Server overload or timeouts

  • Temporary server issues on the recipient’s side

In most cases, the server will retry delivery before marking the email as failed.

Hard Bounced

The email could not be delivered due to a permanent issue, such as:

  • Invalid or non-existent recipient email address

  • Permanent block by the recipient’s email server

These addresses should be removed from your list to maintain sender reputation.

Bounced

A legacy status that does not differentiate between soft and hard bounces.

Emails sent after October 2024 will show separate soft and hard bounce statuses.
