Print Name Tags with Avery Sheets

Updated this week

Diobox allows you to print multiple badges on a single page using Avery label sheets. This is a practical option when you are using a standard desktop printer instead of dedicated badge printing hardware.

Avery sheet printing works well for events that need a fast, flexible, and low-cost badge setup without specialized equipment.

Key Advantages

  • Low cost and widely available materials

  • Quick setup with minimal configuration

  • Works with most standard home and office printers

  • Compatible with lanyards, clips, and badge holders

  • Adhesive options allow badges to be worn without accessories

  • Pre-perforated sheets eliminate manual cutting

Supported Avery Templates

Diobox includes built-in support for many Avery templates used for badges and name tags. Many Avery product numbers share the same printable sheet layout, with the same badge size, sheet size, and number per sheet.

Because of this, Diobox groups compatible Avery products together when they use the same print specifications. This lets you use one badge layout across multiple Avery SKUs.

Build and Generate Avery Sheet Badges

This guide provides an overview of how to create, customize, and generate name tags for your guests from start to finish.

Step 1

Create a Badge Using an Avery Template

Start in the Badges section and click the + Badge button.

From the template list, select the Avery Templates category and choose one of the built-in Avery templates. The templates are grouped by official Avery template IDs, ensuring the badge dimensions match the sheet layout exactly.

Step 2

Design Your Badge

Use the drag and drop Badge Builder to customize your badge.

Add and position elements such as text, images, and QR codes based on your layout.

Step 3

Select Guests

When your badge is ready, go to the Guests section and select the guests for badge generation.

Use the checkboxes to select one or more guests, or choose Select All.

Then click Print Badge.

Step 4

Choose Template and Export

If your event includes multiple badge templates, select the Badge Template you created in Step 1. Then select the corresponding Avery sheet layout.

If the selected badge and sheet match exactly, the preview will display Perfect Fit. Otherwise, Diobox will automatically adjust the badge to fit the sheet while preserving its proportions. In this case, the preview will show Scales to Fit.

Click Export to generate the file.

  • Single guest badge exports download instantly

  • Multiple badges are processed in the background and sent to your Diobox account email once ready

Use Start Position if part of the sheet has already been used. This allows you to begin printing from a specific position on the page so you can reuse partially used sheets.

Resolution

Under Advanced Settings, you can adjust the resolution if your printer has specific requirements.

The default is 300 dpi, which is standard for high-quality printing.
