Diobox allows you to print multiple badges on a single page using custom sheet layouts. This is ideal when using standard desktop printers or label sheets that are not part of the built-in Avery formats.
This approach gives you full control over badge dimensions, spacing, margins, and overall layout.
Step 1
Set Up Your Badge
Start in the Badges section and create a new badge. Choose a template that closely matches your intended size to simplify adjustments later.
Open the badge in the Badge Builder and confirm it is configured for PDF output.
Go to Printers & Media and set:
Printer Model: Generic Printer (PDF Export)
Media Type: Generic Paper
β
Then open Badge Dimensions and enter the exact width and height of your badge. This ensures the design aligns precisely with your physical labels.
Step 2
Design Your Badge
Use the drag and drop Badge Builder to customize your badge.
Add and position elements such as text, images, and QR codes based on your layout.
To learn more, see Creating and Customizing Badges
Step 3
Select Guests
When your badge is ready, go to the Guests section and select the guests for badge generation.
Use the checkboxes to select one or more guests, or choose Select All.
Then click Print Badge.
Step 4
Configure Custom Sheet Layout
If you have multiple badges in the event, select the Badge Template you created in Step 1.
Then scroll down and choose Custom Sheet from the options.
Click Edit Layout to enter your sheet specifications:
Label width and height
Page margins
Horizontal and vertical spacing between labels
A live preview updates as you adjust these values, allowing you to confirm alignment before exporting.
Step 5
Export Badges
If the selected badge and sheet match exactly, the preview will display Perfect Fit. Otherwise, Diobox will automatically adjust the badge to fit the sheet while preserving its proportions. In this case, the preview will show Scales to Fit.
Click Export to generate the file.

Additional Settings
Start Position
Use Start Position if part of the sheet has already been used. This allows you to begin printing from a specific position on the page so you can reuse partially used sheets.
Resolution
Under Advanced Settings, you can adjust the resolution if your printer has specific requirements.
The default is 300 dpi, which is standard for high-quality printing.
