Overview of Desktop and PDF Badge Printing

Updated yesterday

Diobox provides flexible desktop and PDF-based badge printing options designed for different event setups, from simple office printers to fully custom badge production workflows. Whether you are using standard Avery sheets, custom-sized templates, or generating individual badge PDFs, these tools allow you to produce high-quality name tags without specialized hardware.

Each method supports different printing needs, depending on your materials, printer type, and level of customization.

Print Name Tags Using Avery Sheet Templates

This option is ideal when you are using standard Avery label sheets with a desktop printer.

Diobox includes built-in support for common Avery formats, ensuring that badge dimensions align perfectly with pre-perforated sheets. This makes setup fast and reliable, with no need to manually configure spacing or measurements.

Best suited for:

  • Quick and low-cost badge production

  • Standard office or home printers

  • Events that require easy setup with widely available materials

Print Name Tags on Custom Sheet Templates

This option allows you to print multiple badges on a single page using your own custom sheet layouts.

Unlike Avery templates, this approach gives you full control over badge size, spacing, and positioning. It is useful when working with non-standard materials or specialty paper that is not preconfigured in Diobox.

Best suited for:

  • Custom badge dimensions or layouts

  • Specialty or non-Avery paper products

  • Advanced control over sheet configuration

Print Individual Custom Name Tags

This option generates individual badge PDFs for one or more selected guests.

Instead of printing multiple badges on a sheet, each badge is created as its own file. This is useful when sending files to external vendors or when using printers that require one badge per file.

Best suited for:

  • Sending badges to external print vendors

  • Printing on unsupported or specialized badge printers

  • Producing high-quality, single-badge outputs

These methods can also be combined with each other and with on-site mobile badge printing to give you full control over how badges are generated and produced for your event.
