Check-In Sessions, also referred to as Event Activities, allow you to track guest participation across different parts of your event. This is especially useful for multi-day events or events with multiple sessions such as breakouts, receptions, or different levels of access.
Each check-in can be associated with a specific session, giving you a more detailed view of guest attendance beyond a single event-level check-in.

Manage Check-In Sessions
Event sessions are configured under Event Settings β Event Activities.
From this section, you can create, edit, and delete Event Activities. These activities represent the sessions or segments of your event where attendance can be tracked independently.
When setting up activities, use clear and descriptive names so they are easy to identify during check-in.
Note: If an Event Activity is deleted, any associated check-ins are not removed. Instead, they are reassigned to the default Check-In label. The original activity name is removed permanently.
Check In a Guest Into a Session
Once Event Activities are created, they become available during the check-in process.
To select a session, click the door icon next to the check-in button. This opens a list of available Event Activities.
After selecting an activity, the check-in button updates to reflect that selection. This ensures that all subsequent check-ins are recorded under the chosen session.
Click the button to check in the guest to that session.
For a guest with no prior check-ins, the button will turn green after check-in
For guests with existing check-ins, a popup will appear with options such as + Check-In or + Event Activity
Important behavior: The selected Event Activity remains active for future check-ins on that device until it is changed. This applies to both the web app and mobile apps.
Using Event Sessions with QR Code Scanning
This workflow also applies when scanning QR codes.
Select an Event Activity first, then begin scanning. Each scanned guest will be checked in under the selected session automatically.
