Plan: All plans. Custom Event Links require a paid plan.
Every event has a short, custom Event Link, such as https://d.io/gls. It is the base for all of your event's guest-facing links, including the Web Page, Event Portal, forms and guest links. Share the Event Link on its own, and choose where it sends guests.
Where to Find Event Link Settings
You can open Event Link Settings from any of these places:
Dashboard
Web Page
Portal → Overview, in the Portal Link section
Event Settings
The same settings apply wherever you open them.
Changing Your Event Link
Custom Event Links are available on paid plans. On other plans, the Edit button is locked and Diobox assigns a generated link.
Click Edit next to your current Event Link.
In the Change Event Link window, enter the new link under New Link.
Wait for the Available check mark, then click Change Link.
Link Rules
Use letters, numbers and hyphens only. Letters are converted to lowercase, and spaces become hyphens.
Use at least 3 characters.
The link can't start or end with a hyphen.
The link must be available. If it is already taken, you'll see a message and can try another.
What Happens When You Change It
Old links keep working. The previous Event Link and all of the event's other links, including Event Portal, Web Page, form and guest links, redirect to the new link. Links you've already shared with guests won't break.
The old link stays reserved for your account, so you can switch back to it later.
Changes are limited to one every 30 days. If you changed the link recently, the window shows when it was last changed and when it can be changed again.
Moving a Link from Another Event
If the link you enter is used by another event in your account, Diobox tells you before you save. Changing it moves the link to the current event, and the other event gets a new generated link.
Choosing a Destination
Under Destination, choose where your Event Link goes when guests open it:
Event Portal – a listing of all public forms, with your event branding.
Form – a published form in your event. Choose it from Select a form. Registration, ticket and waitlist forms can be selected. RSVP and survey forms can't, because they use a unique link for each guest.
Web Page – your event web page. A Published or Draft label shows its current status.
Disabled – guests see an "Event not found" page. Your other pages remain available from their own direct links.
Click Save to apply your choice.
If you haven't chosen a destination, the Event Link opens your Web Page when it is published, and the Event Portal otherwise.
When the Destination Isn't Available
The Event Link opens the Event Portal instead if:
The Web Page is selected but not published.
The selected form is closed, sold out, disabled or deleted.
A note in the window tells you when this is happening.
Event Link vs. Page Links
The destination only changes where the Event Link itself goes. Each page also has its own direct link, which always opens that page:
Event Portal:
https://d.io/gls/pWeb Page:
https://d.io/gls/w
For example, if the destination is Web Page, guests who open https://d.io/gls see your web page, while https://d.io/gls/p still opens the Event Portal.
