Walk-In Registration allows guests to register themselves directly on a Kiosk device during the event. This feature works with existing Diobox Registration Forms and supports custom fields, additional questions, and event-specific registration flows, all within the Kiosk experience.
Kiosk Mode Walk-In Registration requires an active internet connection. Unlike QR scanning, walk-in submissions cannot work offline.
How It Works
Kiosk Mode automatically adapts the registration form into the Kiosk interface for a seamless guest experience.
The form fields and questions are displayed directly within the Kiosk workflow, while the standard web form layout and branding are ignored. This creates a cleaner and more integrated registration experience for guests using the device onsite.
Prepare a Registration Form for Walk-In Guests
Go to the Forms section and add a Registration Form that will be used specifically for walk-in registrations.
Create a separate form specifically for walk-in registrations, even though you can also use the default registration form already included with the event.
Click + Form and select Registration Form.
Itβs recommended that you set the form visibility to Private so it does not appear publicly on the Event Website or Guest Portal. This allows the form to be used exclusively on Kiosk devices.
You can also use the existing Guest Creation settings to control how walk-in registrations behave. For example, you can:
Prevent duplicate guest profiles based on email address
Allow or prevent multiple registrations from the same guest
Restrict submissions to existing guests only
Click Create to add the form to your event.
You can continue customizing the form by adding content, fields, and custom questions. To learn more, see: Adding Custom Questions to Your Form
Assign the Form to Kiosk Mode
Go to Event Settings β Kiosk Mode β Guest Interactions and select the registration form you prepared for walk-in guests.
Once selected, the form becomes available within Kiosk Mode for self-service registrations.
