Sidebar on the Event Website

Updated this week

The Sidebar displays key event details next to the main page content, directly below the Hero section. It provides visitors with quick access to essential information without scrolling through the full page.

The Sidebar includes three configurable sections: Date, Location, and Links.

Date Section

The Date section displays the event date and time. When you create your event, this section is automatically populated using your event settings.

You can edit the Header and additional lines without affecting the actual event date or time in Diobox. This allows you to:

  • Adjust formatting

  • Translate the content

  • Use different wording for marketing purposes

You can also reset the fields back to the event defaults at any time.

Location Section

The Location section shows the venue name and address. Like the Date section, it is initially generated from your event settings.

You can update the venue field and address lines independently from the event’s saved location. Changes made here only affect how the information appears on the website.

If needed, you can restore the original event details using the reset option.

Links Section

The Links section allows you to add external URLs to the Sidebar. This is useful for directing visitors to:

  • External registration pages

  • Partner websites

  • Hotel booking pages

  • Additional resources

You can add multiple links and remove them at any time.

Enable or Disable Sidebar Sections

Each section includes a toggle switch. Turn a section off to hide it from the event website. When all Sidebar sections are disabled, the page content expands to full width.

This gives you flexibility to keep the page minimal or to highlight only the details that matter for your event.
