Updated over 2 years ago

In a table's detail view, you can adjust all aspects of a table's seating:

To access a table's seat assignment editor, select Seating and find the table you want to change.

  • In the web app, click the table's Action button and then choose Edit Seats.

  • In the iOS app, first select the Table to open its detail view, then tap the Edit Seats button.

Assign a guest to a seat

To assign a guest, select an empty seat (either in the visual representation at the top or the list at the bottom).

In the menu, select the guest who you want to assign to the seat.

Assign a placeholder to a seat

To assign a guest, select an empty seat (either in the visual representation at the top or the list at the bottom).

In the menu, select Add Placeholder. Select the type of placeholder you want to assign. You can pick a pre-defined label or provide your own.

Remove a seat assignment

To remove a guest or placeholder, tap the seat with the assignment (either in the visual representation at the top or the list at the bottom), and select Remove.

Assign a guest to the table's waitlist

You can assign a guest to the table's waitlist using any of these ways:

  • Tap the seat with the assignment (either in the visual representation at the top or the list at the bottom), and tap the Move to Waitlist button.

  • On iOS, you can tap the + Add to Waitlist button in the Waitlist section at the bottom of the list.

Reorder seat assignments

You can reorder seat assignments within a table in two ways:

  • Use the drag handles of a seat in seat list to drag a seat to new place.

  • On iOS, in the visual representation of the table, tap-and-hold to drag a seat to its new place.
