The Diobox iOS app allows you to sell tickets at the door using your iPhone or iPad as a Point-of-Sale station. You can process credit cards in real time, record cash or check payments, and send email receipts instantly.
This is ideal for walk-ins, last minute registrations, or on-site upgrades.
Accessing Tickets from a Guest Profile
Open the guest’s profile in the Diobox iOS app.
Tap the Tickets dropdown. A list of all available ticket types for the event will appear, including pricing and sale status.
If your payment gateway is not yet connected, you will be prompted to connect it. This can be completed in either the web app or the iOS app. You only need to connect it once per event.
After selecting a ticket, you will be taken to the payment screen.
Variable and donation tickets are supported. If the selected ticket has variable pricing, you can enter the desired amount before processing the payment.
Charging by Credit Card
Credit Card is selected by default.
Enter the card number, expiration date, CVC, and ZIP code, then tap Pay. The card is authorized in real time.
Once successful, the ticket is issued immediately and reflected in the guest’s profile.
Recording Cash, Check, or Other Payments
If you are accepting a non-card payment:
Select the Cash tab at the top of the payment screen.
Choose one of the following:
Cash
Check
Other Payment
Tap Pay to record the transaction.
This allows you to track offline payments while keeping your reporting accurate inside Diobox.
Managing Email Receipts
By default, a receipt is sent to the guest’s email address.
To change the email or skip sending a receipt, click the email dropdown on the payment screen to find these options:
Select the existing email
Enter a new email address
Choose Do not send email
The receipt that is sent uses the same configuration and customization defined in your Guest Portal settings. It is identical to the receipt a guest would receive when purchasing online.
Using the POS integration ensures that all on-site sales, whether credit card or offline payments, are captured in one centralized system with accurate reporting and ticket tracking.
