Kiosk Mode allows you to create a fully branded, self-service check-in experience where guests scan their own QR codes upon arrival. You can control the visual design, messaging, and guest display to match your event’s identity and flow.
All customization is managed in the web app under Event Settings and applies at the event level. Once configured, every Kiosk device will display the same branding and behavior.
This article covers the following customization options in Kiosk Mode:
Background Image
The background image is the most prominent visual element in Kiosk Mode. It appears behind the check-in interface and is the first thing guests see.
Because screen sizes and orientations vary across devices, the image may display differently on each device. Test your design on the devices you plan to use.
Best practices:
Use a high resolution image to ensure sharp display on retina screens
Avoid adding text to the image, or keep it minimal
Use PNG or JPG format, up to 5 MB
Brand Logo
Upload a logo that will appear consistently across Kiosk Mode screens.
For best results, use a transparent PNG so the logo blends cleanly with different backgrounds.
Event Title
Set the event name as it should appear throughout the Kiosk experience.
You can use a Public Title that differs from your internal event name. This same title is also used on registration forms and confirmation emails.
Accent Color
The Accent Color is used for key UI elements such as instructions, highlights, and buttons. Choose a color that aligns with your event branding and remains easy to read against your background.
If no background image is uploaded, a gradient background will be generated based on your Accent Color.
Guest Display Options
Control what guest information appears after a successful scan.
Guest Photo, displays the guest’s profile image when available
Guest Seat, displays table, row, or seat information when available
Note: Kiosk Mode can operate offline, but guest photos require an internet connection and may take a moment to load after check-in.
On-Screen Text
Customize or translate the messages shown to guests during the check-in process.
Editable messages include:
Scan QR Code
Checked-In
Invalid QR Code
Duplicate QR Code
Printing Badge
Printing Error
Access Restricted
Adjusting these messages allows you to match your event tone, provide clearer instructions, or support multiple languages.
