Temporal QR Codes are Diobox’s proprietary, time-based codes designed to prevent misuse such as screenshots or code sharing. Each code refreshes constantly and can only be used once, ensuring secure and verified check-ins.
Attributes of Temporal QR Codes
Temporal QR Codes are visually distinct and intentionally different from standard QR codes, helping door staff and guests clearly recognize them as unique and secure.
Visual: Always live and moving, with rotating concentric circles that can be styled to match your event.
Standalone Page: Displayed on a dedicated page showing only the guest’s name and email, without extra registration details.
Refreshing QR Codes: A new code is generated every second.
Expiration: Codes are time-based, so screen recordings won’t work when scanned.
QR Code Suppression: After check-in, the code disappears from the guest’s device to prevent reuse.
When Not to Use Temporal QR Codes
Avoid using Temporal QR Codes if:
Your event includes multiple check-ins or activity tracking across sessions.
Guests will present static QR codes printed on badges, as Temporal QR Codes are dynamic.
Enable Temporal QR Codes
To enable Temporal QR Codes, go to your Event Settings > QR Codes.
System Behavior After Enabling
