Google Analytics Integration

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Connect your Google Analytics account to track visitor activity across your Diobox event pages. This integration provides insights into user behavior, helping you optimize your event’s performance.

What You Can Track

Once integrated, Google Analytics can track:

  • Page Views – Total visits to your event pages

  • Session Duration – Average time guests spend browsing

  • Bounce Rate – Percentage of users who leave without interacting

  • Traffic Sources – Where visitors are coming from (e.g. email, social media, referrals)

  • Device & Location Data – Guest locations and devices used

Requirements

This integration supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4). To get started:

  1. Create a Google Analytics account (if you don’t already have one).

  2. Set up a GA4 property—preferably a separate one for your Diobox event.

You will need your Measurement ID, a unique identifier used by GA4.

How to Find Your Measurement ID

  1. Login to Google Analytics go to Admin.

  2. Under Data collection and modification, click Data streams

  3. Select the Web tab.

  4. Click the web data stream.

  5. Find the measurement ID in the first row of the stream details.

The format of a Measurement ID in Google Analytics 4 is 'G-' followed by a combination of numbers and letters, such as 'G-PSW1MY7HB4.'

For detailed instructions, see the Google Analytics Help Center.

Tracked Pages in Diobox

Google Analytics will track all public-facing pages, including:

  • Event Page – Main landing page

  • Guest Portal – Central hub showing available registration forms and tickets

  • Forms – Includes RSVP, ticketing, waitlist, and survey forms

  • Confirmation Pages – Displayed after successful guest actions

How to Enable Tracking

To enable tracking, add your GA4 Measurement ID in either of these sections:

Forms > Guest Portal

Web Page > Set Up

The Measurement ID field is synchronized between these two locations—enter it once and it will populate both.

Once added, tracking typically begins within a few minutes to a few hours. You can monitor activity in your Google Analytics dashboard in real time once data starts flowing.
