Deferred Guest Registrations allow the primary registrant to complete a purchase or registration without entering details for additional guests immediately. This is useful when multiple tickets or registrations are submitted at once, and guest information is not yet available.
After the initial submission, the primary registrant receives an email with unique links to complete each additional guest registration at a later time.
Use Cases
Purchase tickets before knowing who they will be assigned to.
Secure and pay for tickets without needing to enter guest information upfront.
Skip custom questions and forms for additional guests during the initial registration.
Guest Experience
This feature activates when two or more tickets or registrations are submitted. For example:
Ticket quantity is greater than one.
Multiple ticket types or registration forms are included.
In these cases, a “Register Guests Now” toggle appears. If the guest turns this toggle off, the registration form hides additional guest fields and only asks for:
Name and email address of the primary registrant.
Payment information (for ticketing scenarios).
This reduces friction during registration by collecting only essential details upfront.
Once submitted, the primary registrant receives an email with links to complete the pending guest registrations.
Example: This receipt shows unassigned guest entries, indicating which details still need to be filled.
How to Disable Deferred Guest Registrations
This feature is enabled by default.
To disable it:
Go to Forms > Guest Portal.
Uncheck the Deferred Guest Registrations box under Guest Actions.
How to Find Unassigned Guests
There are several ways to find unassigned guests:
Guests Section
In the Guests section, unassigned guests are grouped under the primary registrant and labeled as “Unassigned Guest.” You can visually identify them in the guest list.
To filter specifically for unassigned entries, open the Guest List dropdown and select the Unassigned Registration segment.
If you need to reach out to the primary registrant, use the Group dropdown to locate them and follow up with a reminder to complete the guest details.
Submissions Section
In the Submissions section, use the Filter dropdown and check the option to show only Unassigned Registrations/Tickets. This view presents the same guest data but organizes it by the original registration.
It also includes links to the receipt and to each individual unassigned guest, allowing you to directly access and complete any pending guest registrations.
